Creamy Cacao Avocado Mousse

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Add all ingredients to a blender and pulse until smooth. 
  2. Taste the mixture to ensure desired sweetness and chocolatey-ness.
  3. If desired, add more maple syrup or cacao.
  4. Pour from blender into small cups or bowls and refrigerate for 2-3 hours or until firm.
  5. Top with cacao nibs or coconut flakes, if desired. 
  6. Enjoy!

Notes

This is a wonderful healthy dessert recipe that can help to satisfy cravings while also delivering heart-healthy fat, fiber, and nutrients. Avocados are also renowned for their anti-cancer properties, including inhibiting cancer cell and pre-cancerous cell growth, as well as inducing apoptosis (cell death) in cancer cells. 

Dosha Type

This recipe is VP-K+, which means it most reduces Vata and Pitta and increases Kapha. Kaphas can enjoy in smaller quantities occasionally. Cacao is a stimulant, especially in high quantities, so even Vatas and Pittas want to consume in moderation.
