Beet, Ginger, Orange Juice

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Put the ginger in a high-speed blender and blend until finely minced (alternatively you can grate it before before adding). Use organic ginger and keep the skin on. 
  2. Add the remaining ingredients and blend until liquified. 
  3. Add water as needed if you prefer a thinner juice. 
  4. OPTIONAL: strain juice through a fine mesh strainer.
  5. It is recommended to sip right away. 
  6. You can store the juice in an air tight container in the refrigerator to preserve nutrients. The juice should be consumed within 24 hours.   

Notes

This juice is an excellent health tonic. The ginger and beet help increase the production of digestive enzymes, bile and enzymes involved in the liver’s complex process of detoxification. This particular juice gives your cells terrific support for detoxification processes in both the liver and the kidneys. 

 

Dosha Type

All doshas should consume juice in moderation. This juice carries sweet, sour and pungent tastes.  As a detoxifying drink that is also nourishing it helps to alleviate excess doshas. Vata will be the most aggravated with the pungent and cold qualities. A touch of Ceylon cinnamon could be added to support vata in this drink.
