Blend all ingredients until smooth and serve room temperature. 

Notes

Enjoy this smoothie at room temperature-avoiding iced or cold versions to support digestion. 

This recipe carries the qualities of moist, grounding, warm and nourishing. This makes it balancing for the Autumn season to combat the dry, light, mobile and rough qualities. 

It is appropriate for late summer when the heat of summer is alleviating from the body due to the moist and stabilizing qualities.  

Dosha Type

V-PnK+

  • Vata: Balancing –  sweet, moist, grounding, stabilizing

  • Pitta: Supportive – cooling oat milk and dates and soothing vanilla. Can include cardamom and reduce cinnamon to make more pitta balancing. 

  • Kapha:  Aggravating– heavy qualities can be reduced by using 1-2 dates, less oat milk and replace with water and increase cinnamon or add ground cloves.
