INDIVIDUALIZED HEALING THROUGH HOLISTIC WELLBEING.
This nourishing spice-infused broth recipe is ideal for building healthy rasa dhatu – the waters of the body. Ideal for Vata/Kapha conditions of dryness and heaviness, the broth helps to enkindle Agni while also infusing more moisture into the cells and reducing inflammation.

Vata: balancing in moderation. The warm, moist broth is grounding and nourishing, and the warming spices support vata’s variable digestion. Pungent herbs can become drying in excess. To adjust: stir in ½–1 tsp ghee before serving, reduce the black pepper and clove, and increase the honey.
Pitta: may aggravate if taken often or in large amounts. Tulsi, ginger, black pepper, and clove are all heating. To adjust: omit the clove and black pepper, halve the ginger, and swap the lime for extra cilantro or a pinch of crushed fennel.
Kapha: balancing. Tulsi’s pungent, bitter, warming qualities, together with ginger, pepper, and clove, counter kapha’s heavy, cool, damp tendencies, especially when congestion settles into the joints, the chest or the sinuses. To enhance: add a pinch of dry ginger or pippali, and choose a leaner, well-skimmed broth.
Best time and season: Sip warm mid-morning or with a light lunch. It’s especially supportive vata-kapha seasonal transition of late winter.
