
In a small pot, bring 4 cups water to a gentle boil.
Turn off the heat and add hibiscus, licorice, and (optional) fennel or mint.
Cover and steep for 10–15 minutes.
Strain into a jar or pitcher.
Add mineral salt, lime juice, and sweetener of choice.
Let cool to room temp or chill slightly. Sip slowly.
Best times to drink:
Midday or afternoon (when Pitta peaks)
Post-exercise, sauna, or outdoor activity
On hot, humid days to stay energized and clear-headed
Hydrating + cooling (soothes heat, inflammation, and dryness)
Restores electrolytes gently — without sugar spikes
Soothes adrenals & digestion (licorice)
Heart-friendly + mildly astringent (hibiscus)
Great for Pitta heat, Kapha sluggishness, and post-exertion fatigue

Kapha — astringent and gently detoxifying
Vata – mildly aggravating due to cooling and astringency, but balanced by licorice + mineral salt
